Ghost Recon Wildlands and Ghost Recon Breakpoint are two games from the Ghost Recon franchise, developed by Ubisoft. Both games are tactical third-person shooter games set in an open-world environment. However, there are some significant differences between the two games that make them distinct from one another.

Ghost Recon Wildlands was released in 2017, and it was an instant hit. The game is set in Bolivia, where the players take on the role of a member of the Ghost squad, tasked with taking down the Santa Blanca drug cartel. The game features a vast open-world environment, and the players have complete freedom to tackle the missions and objectives in any order they choose.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint was released in 2019, and it follows a similar premise to its predecessor. The game is set on the fictional island of Auroa, where the players take on the role of a Ghost squad member sent to investigate a rogue US military unit. The game also features an open-world environment and offers players a range of tactical options to take down their enemies.

One of the most significant differences between the two games is the level of difficulty. Ghost Recon Wildlands was criticized for being too easy, with many players completing the game without encountering much difficulty. Ghost Recon Breakpoint, on the other hand, is much more challenging, with the AI enemies being much smarter and more aggressive.

Another difference between the two games is the gameplay mechanics. In Ghost Recon Wildlands, the players could take down enemies using a range of tactics, including stealth, sniping, and close combat. Ghost Recon Breakpoint takes things a step further, with the addition of survival mechanics such as hunger, thirst, and injuries.

Some more differences between the two games the players must expect:

Storyline: "Ghost Recon Wildlands" is set in Bolivia, where players are tasked with taking down a drug cartel. "Ghost Recon Breakpoint," on the other hand, takes place on a fictional island called Auroa, where players must stop a rogue military contractor.

Open-world: "Ghost Recon Wildlands" features a vast open-world environment with a variety of terrains, from forests to deserts. "Ghost Recon Breakpoint" also has an open-world environment, but it is more densely packed and includes a variety of biomes such as snowy mountains, dense forests, and swamps.

Character Customization: "Ghost Recon Breakpoint" offers more extensive character customization options than "Ghost Recon Wildlands." In "Breakpoint," players can choose their character's gender, facial features, and clothing, while "Wildlands" offers more limited customization options.

AI Teammates: In "Ghost Recon Wildlands," players can control a team of AI-controlled teammates, while "Ghost Recon Breakpoint" does not include this feature. Instead, players can choose to play solo or with a group of other players.

Survival Elements: "Ghost Recon Breakpoint" has more survival elements than "Ghost Recon Wildlands," including the need to eat, drink, and rest. Players must also manage their injuries and equipment, adding a new layer of challenge to the game.

Gameplay Mechanics: "Ghost Recon Breakpoint" features a more refined gameplay experience with updated mechanics, such as the addition of a cover system, more advanced stealth options, and improved enemy AI. "Ghost Recon Wildlands," on the other hand, has more simplified gameplay mechanics.

All in all, "Ghost Recon Wildlands" and "Ghost Recon Breakpoint" offer different gameplay experiences, with "Wildlands" offering a more straightforward, open-world shooter experience, while "Breakpoint" features more survival elements and refined gameplay mechanics. Both games offer great gameplay and are really worth your time playing!
